Fun Spring Activities to Enjoy with the Kids
We love the Spring - it brings lovely weather, a break from school and Easter time, so you’re probably thinking up fun ways to stay occupied and have fun - especially during the holidays. We’re sharing our favourite fun Spring activities to enjoy with the kids - from craft activities to Easter gift ideas, there’s plenty that will keep you busy.
A Fun Easter Egg Hunt
Easter egg hunts are a super fun way to get out and about and stay active. You could even make it educational with the clues that help them throughout the hunt. Add scores to the eggs and add up the totals at the end to determine the winner. Set the Easter egg hunt up in your garden, or you could even take a slightly larger group to the park.
To kick start the excitement, get the kids involved in decorating the eggs that are going to be hidden throughout the hunt – they’ll love seeing their work in action. The prize can be almost anything, but we think that the Easter egg with a Photo Mug gift would be a fabulous prize and a lovely finishing touch too.
Create a Photo Puzzle Together
Have you ever thought about making your own Photo Puzzle? It’s completely unique and you could make an entire collection if you wanted to. Holiday photos or group photos would be fun and can keep the children entertained for hours. If you have a spare surface or table top, it’s a good activity to come back to over time. Our Photo Puzzles start from 112 pieces, so they’re perfect for children and you can even customise it with Clipart and text - a jigsaw puzzle like no other.
Play ‘Pairs’ – The Fun Memory Game
We love a good old-fashioned card game and a great one for children is ‘pairs’, the memory game. You can make your very own Personalised Pairs Game, completely unique to you and your family - simply choose 25 of your favourite images. The game also comes in a lovely folding box, so you can keep it for years to come.
All you have to do is spread them out and take it in turns to flip cards and figure out where the matching cards are. The winner is the player with the most pairs at the end of the game. Simple and fun!
Get Creative with Colouring In
Another fun rainy-day activity is colouring in - perfect to get the kids’ creativity going and to keep them entertained when the weather isn’t looking great. Make their colouring in even more special with a Personalised Faber-Castell Pencil Set. Let them choose a favourite photo to customise the tin lid with. Inside, they’ll have 12 premium quality colouring pencils to start creating fun art with.
Make a Spring Wreath
We love a keepsake and a Spring wreath is something that you can get out year after year. Wreath rings can be purchased from your local craft shop and then it’s time to get creative! Go on a Spring walk with the children and get them to forage materials to stick to the wreath. Everything from twigs to flowers to seeds and berries can be picked up to make a unique creation. Why not print a Instant Prints to put in the wreath amongst the foliage? The result will be a pretty and unique centerpiece for your door.
Get Snap Happy
We love the idea of giving the kids free rein of the camera for a while to let them document their days out - you could even give them a list of items to take photos of. This works especially well if you’re exploring the great outdoors or are hopping in the car on a day trip. Then you can print and keep those photos forever - use them to make a CEWE PHOTOBOOK or a gift for a loved one.
Easter-themed Baking
Eggs and bunnies are easy shapes to make for biscuits and cookie decorating kits can be picked up in the supermarket for just a few pounds. Homemade biscuits are a thoughtful gift to surprise a grandparent or friends with too. You could even deliver them in person if the weather is on your side. If you’re up for a little challenge, mini hot cross buns are fun to make too. Have a family dinner night and get the kids involved in cooking for the whole family – whether they actually help or not is a different question!
Step into Spring!
What fun will you be having this Spring time? We hope you find some time to get creative, enjoy the warmer weather and create beautiful memories together, with a personalised touch. Which one will you try first?
